Fujitsu and TELentice Sign Partnership Agreement
For Digital Media Networking Technology

Multi-media Solution Ideal for Pervasive Retailing Environments

FRISCO, Texas – Nov. 7, 2006 – Fujitsu Transaction Solutions Inc. and TELentice Global Inc. have signed a partnership agreement under which Fujitsu will provide sales and marketing support for the TELentice software suite in retail installations requiring intelligent digital networks that deliver targeted in-store communication.

The industry-leading TELentice software solution is the foundation of TELentice’s digital retail communications technology (DIRECT). It provides an agnostic platform that enables retailers to display scheduled, on-demand, interactive or event-based digital media comprised of any combination of video, animation, text, audio and visuals directly to point-of-sale (POS) displays, kiosks, PCs, mobile phones, PDAs or Web sites over any IP-based network across a retail enterprise. TELentice enables marketers and retailers to continually optimize communication to their customers by providing feedback on the impact of marketing campaigns.

“TELentice’s innovative solution is a strategic addition to our offering as we expand the Pervasive Retailing Framework across the retail industry,” said Scott Langdoc, chief technology officer of Fujitsu Transaction Solutions. “Their software will enable retailers to deliver a wide range of digital media content to multiple devices throughout a store, sending tailored messages to their customers.”

In a Pervasive Retailing environment, for example, a shopper could scan his/her loyalty card at a kiosk or smart shopping cart, and based on their identity, the TELentice network would interact with the retailer’s loyalty and POS data to determine the right personalized content and offers to display for the customer, thereby enhancing the shopping experience and increasing customer satisfaction.

“Our software gives retailers the back-end strength to network thousands of customer touch points and manage a digital media system across the entire enterprise,” said Howard Witherspoon, CEO of TELentice. “It’s a perfect fit with Fujitsu’s Pervasive Retailing strategy. Our software has the power to enable Fujitsu to deliver on their digital media vision for the retail market.”

Fujitsu’s Pervasive Retailing Framework is a set of software tools and services designed to minimize the time, cost and risk of creating real-time interoperability between disparate applications and devices that support multiple retailing interactions.
