Fujitsu Australia was successfully awarded the tender for providing a total solution for the Australian Customs Service Digital Signage project at Melbourne Airport.  This project is part of rejuvenation works at Melbourne Airport for the Commonwealth Games.

 

 

Challenge:

 

-         Provide more timely information to passengers including:

-         Immigration and customs declarations

-         Passenger documentation requirements

-         Queue management

-         Emergency information

-         Be easy to update schedules and ticker information from a centrally managed system where content such as mpeg, html, shockwave and other multimedia content can be displayed on screens

-         Support for a variety of dynamic media formats

 

Solution:

-         This project involved the replacement of 50 CRT monitors, network clients, associated mounts and cabling for Customs’ legacy system.

 

Results:

-         Providing essential passenger information and providing a
